There are Bollywood rivalries and then there are Kangana Ranaut and Karan Johar! Things have been super tense between the two ever since Kangana appeared in Koffee With Karan Season 5 and called KJo the “flagbearer of nepotism”. The two have frequently attacked each other via media interviews after the KWK controversy. However, looks like the war is nearing its end now!
Karan just created waves by speaking nicely of Kangana’s upcoming film Emergency in a media interaction. During the interview, the filmmaker was asked if he would like to make a political movie and he replied, “The Emergency is being made and I am excited to watch it.”
KJo has left everyone wondering with his statement. This can very well be the end of his six-year-long war with Kanagan provided she is in the mood to patch things up as well. And while this new development has left the desi cinephiles excited, we have our doubts about how the Manikarnika actress would respond.
When Kangana Ranaut Criticised RARKPK
Back in July, Kangana had a lot of things to say after the RARKPK release. She took to Instagram and wrote, “Shame on you Karan Johar for making the same film nth time … calling yourself the flag bearer of Indian cinema and perpetually regressing it …. Don’t waste funds it’s not easy time for the Industry, retire now and let young filmmakers make new and revolutionary films.”
Well, this is a strong statement. We are impressed that Karan let it slide and subtly attempted to call truce. All eyes are on Kangana now. Will she reciprocate?
