Sridevi‘s sudden demise on February 24 left the nation in a state of shock. The unexpected death of one of Bollywood’s eternally golden women and India’s first female superstar led to nationwide mourning. But, even after the tragic incident, certain sections of the media left no stone unturned to dig up the dirt on her life and turn her death into sensational news.
While Sridevi’s family – husband Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor – is having a hard time coming to terms with the loss of their beloved, Arjun and Anshula Kapoor have been a pillar of strength for them in this hour of need. Arjun and Anshula happen to be Boney Kapoor’s children from his first marriage to Mona Kapoor who passed away, in 2012, after a prolonged fight with cancer.
Previously, Arjun Kapoor has openly spoken about not having a relationship with his step-sisters and step-mother. He was quoted saying, “We don’t really meet and spend time together so it doesn’t really exist.” However, over the past few days, Arjun and his sister were seen stepping up and standing by their father and his family, as gracefully as possible. Boney Kapoor said in his letter, “I am blessed to have the support and love of Arjun and Anshula, who have been such pillars of strength for myself, Khushi and Janhvi. Together, as a family, we have tried to face this unbearable loss.” Both Arjun and Anshula’s kindness and decency has gotten them praise and respect from all the right places.
Recently, Anshula stood up for her sisters, Janhvi and Khushi, and shut down a user on the internet who had written less than pleasant things about Sridevi and her daughters. Anshula took to Instagram to share a quote about wallflowers, that subtly, may have been for her sisters. See the post here!
On the post, a follower of Anshula insulted Janhvi and Khushi. But, Anshula quickly jumped to their defence, deleting those comments and responding, instead with a comment that read “Hi, I’m requesting you to refrain from using abusive language especially towards my sisters, I do not appreciate it & have therefore deleted ur comments. While I am grateful for your passion & love for bhai & me, just a small correction – I was never working outside India. Let’s please spread joy & good vibes. Thank you for the love.”
What a wonderful way to handle trolls who have an opinion on everything and do not stop at pulling down anybody or anyone, isn’t it? Anshula really is the kind of woman, and sister, we all need in our lives and whom we need to be for others.
