Popular TV actress Anita Hassanandani became a household name after her small screen debut, Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli. She also did Bollywood movies under Ekta Kapoor’s banner, but her success on Indian television brought her back. She has been part of the industry for many years, and the actress is now all set to participate in the upcoming season of Nach Baliye with hubby Rohit Reddy.
Anita Hassanandani was last seen in Colors’ Naagin 3. She has participated in several reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and now is all geared up to be a part of Nach Baliye 9. The show hasn’t even aired on television yet, and Anita and Rohit are already among one of the most loved jodis on the show. In fact, it also came out that Anita was the highest paid actor on Nach Baliye 9.
In a recent interview, Anita Hassanandani revealed her plans for extending her family to a leading daily. She said that she had been waiting to do the show for the longest time and after she’s done with it, she plans to have a baby: “Absolutely. That was the whole plan. Nach Baliye is a journey that you can’t do after a child. It gets a little difficult. Or you have to wait for your baby to grow up. So (we decided) after Nach Baliye we plan to have a baby.” She further added, “I have been busy with two TV shows, and workwise, I wanted to be free when I have a child. I don’t want a hectic work schedule when I get pregnant.”

Before this, there were several rumours doing the rounds about Anita and Rohit opting for surrogacy to have a baby. Anita’s best friend, Ekta Kapoor, also had a son recently through surrogacy that sparked these rumours even more. However, the actress rubbished these rumours but has also confirmed that she is definitely thinking of having a baby pretty soon. “There is no truth in these rumours. We have thought about having a baby, and I plan to have a baby the natural and normal way. Hopefully, if things go as planned, we might have a baby next year.”
Looks like participating in the dance reality show is good news for the couple!
Anita is looking forward to becoming a mother. In a previous interview, the actress revealed, “When it happens, motherhood will surely change my life like it changes the lives of mothers all around the world. I am looking forward to it as I am really excited about having a baby. So, whenever it happens for me, I will give my 100%. Motherhood will be an important phase in my life.”
In the same interview, Anita also talked about the new experience, and said, “For any TV actor, Khatron Ke Khiladi, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Nach Baliye are the shows that are inadvertently part of their bucket list. I have ticked the other two. And this (Nach Baliye) has always been pending. Every year, I’d tell my Baliye to participate and he would always say no.”
The first episode of Nach Baliye 9 will air on Star Plus on 19 July 2019.
