Ananya Panday Opens Up About Dealing With A Breakup & We Can’t Help But Praise Her

For a long time, Bollywood has been fascinated by dysfunctional relationships, heartbreaks, breakups and infidelity. Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s Gehraiyaan is another attempt to understand— why do people cheat? While we have been obsessed with the film’s trailer, we are also hella curious to know if the star cast of the film ever experienced something like this IRL.

Recently, Ananya opened up about how she used her personal experiences in life to connect with her character in the film. In an interview with a leading daily, the actress said, “It was something that I haven’t experienced before, at least at this level, but I have felt what she has felt. I have had feelings of betrayal, heartbreak and felt cheated on but maybe not in this context. So I think it was all about diving in deeper and transferring those emotions into this context and how maybe Tia would react and not how Ananya would react.”

Ananya added, “I think there was pressure from myself because I knew I wanted to be a part of this film but I also didn’t want to be unable to do justice to the part and I wanted to work really hard on it.”

NGL, we totally get where Ananya is coming from. It can be tough to handle heartbreak no matter how strong you are. It takes courage to move forward in life and rebuild yourself, so we are hella impressed by the actress. Also, it is always comforting to know that everyone goes through a vulnerable stage in life, but eventually, things fall in place.

Ananya isn’t the only one who talked about going through a heartbreak. A little while ago, Deepika also spoke about how she revisited her heartbreaks. She said, “I had to dig deep and revisit places that weren’t pleasant. I had to revisit experiences from my own life, as well as [my experience of] dealing with mental health issues. All of that [helped me play] this character that needed to be raw, naked and vulnerable.”

TBH, we are counting days to Gehraiyaan’s release! Ananya’s honest confession has made us curious AF about her role in the flick.
