Ananya Panday Opens Up About Losing Touch With Friends & We Bet Every 20-Something Can Relate
It feels like just yesterday when 20-year-old rosy-cheeked Ananya Panday made her to our hearts as Shreya Raichand in Student of the Year 2. Since then, the actress has come a long way and we have been in awe of her professional growth. However, as they say, success always comes with a price and for Ananya, it turned out to be her personal relationships.
After finishing school, Ananya made her way to the film industry and decided to skip college. For a while this decision made her feel ‘disconnected’ from her friends and it took the SOTY 2 star some time to get used to it. In an interview with a leading daily, Ananya shared, “All my friends were still in school and some in college while I was going to work. Back then, I had felt disconnected from them. Today, I am back to being them and I am regaining my balance now. I value the experience of working; nothing teaches you like work. In these three-four years, I have seen a fair share of success and failure, both personally and professionally.”
The Pati Patni Aur Woh actress added, “These things force you to grow up sooner than you’d like. And I am not complaining about that. I always did have this side to myself and I am just growing into my true self every single day.”
When Ananya Was Accused Of Faking Her College Admission
Back in 2019, before the release of Student of the Year 2, the Gehraiyaan actress was accused by an ex-schoolmate of lying about her alleged college admission to the University of Southern California (USC).
At the time Ananya took to the ‘Gram to set the record straight. Shutting down all the rumours, Ananya shared pictures of her acceptance letter and revealed that she was accepted by the university back in 2018 but had to postpone it owing to her Bollywood commitments.
We understand it can be tough to follow a different path than most of your friends, but Ananya surely has done it well. We are so proud of her for making the right choice for herself. You go girl!
