Amitabh Bachchan might be in his 80s, but he loves to keep up with the latest trends. The veteran actor has been an avid Twitter user since 2010. He loves to post thought-provoking tweets on the microblogging site, but sometimes, even the mightiest end up falling. Recently, Redditors discovered one of Big B’s tweets that raised some serious questions about women’s ‘bras’ and ‘panties’. Yup!
Amitabh tweeted back in 2010, “In the English language, why is ‘bra’ singular and ‘panties’ plural.” A Redditor @AndazApnaApnaaa1 managed to dig out the tweet and soon it started catching attention.
Many fans of the actor were in disbelief over the text. A user wrote, “I thought it was some random dude tweeting about this until I saw the name😭 why why why. I would be so embarrassed if my grandpa did this” Scroll down to check out how people reacted to the now-viral tweet:
I agree with the Redditors! This tweet is giving me second-hand embarrassment. Doesn’t it sound like the creepy forwarded Whatsapp jokes on a random group? As a celebrated actor, Amitabh should have refrained from making such a remark on social media. But as they say—social media is a double-edged sword. Whatever you say or do, can always come back to haunt you.
Well, this is a lesson in not underestimating the power of social media stalking. It can legit bring down empires.
