Everything You Need To Know About Prince Harry & Meghan’s Royal Honeymoon Destination
Soon after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married, speculations about their honeymoon destination started doing the rounds. The royal wedding was the most talked about wedding of the year, and now it’s time for the royal honeymoon. However, the couple is in two minds about their honeymoon destination. Initially, they had planned for Namibia in Africa but now, they might be heading to Canada.
According to a report by TMZ, the newlyweds are planning their honeymoon at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Alberta, Canada. Interestingly, Page Six has described it as ‘the world’s most boring place’. Is it really that boring? Let’s find out!
Surrounded by nature and wildlife, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has a variety of interesting outdoor activities like golf, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, horseback riding, mountain biking, ice skating, snowshoeing and skiing. After a hectic outing, you can rejuvenate at their signature spa with treatments inspired by the energy and beauty of Jasper National Park. Amidst the beautiful mountains and landscapes, their golf course is considered to be one of Canada’s premier courses.
Not only that, they have 10 signature cabins with stunning views. The room tariff per night is 569 CAD which is almost Rs 30,000 in INR. Prince Harry and Meghan are believed to be booked at the mountain resort’s 6000 sq ft cabin, ‘The Royal Retreat’. The cabin has six bedrooms, two fireplaces, a veranda, and a conservatory.
As far as food is concerned, they serve all kinds of local and organic foods and culinary delights of Alberta. From a private BBQ in their signature cabins to a taste of true Rocky Mountains cuisine they have it all. Add to that, the breathtaking Jasper National Park views from your table. Sounds like a perfect place for a lunch date, isn’t it?
However, if history is to go by, Price Harry and Meghan are not the first royal couple to stay in the cabin. It also served Queen Elizabeth and King George VI way back in 1939. In June 2005, Queen Elizabeth II also stayed in the cabin with Prince Philip. Other renowned celebrities who had enjoyed their stay in the cabin include Bill Gates, Anthony Hopkins and John Travolta. So it’s clearly not a boring place. Although there’s no official statement released on this yet, it could just be a great royal choice.
