While we know almost everything about the two Ambani brothers, there are two more siblings we know very little about. Let’s dig a little more into the lives of Mukesh Ambani’s lesser known sisters- Nina Kothari and Deepti Salgaocar.
Who Is Nina Kothari?
Nina Kothari is an Indian entrepreneur who married the renowned businessman, Bhadrashyam Kothari in 1986. After a prolonged battle with cancer he passed away in 2015, leaving Nina with two children, Arjun Kothari and Nayantara Kothari. While Arjun Kothari is married to Anandita Mariwala, the daughter of Rajen and Anjali Mariwala (from the Marico family), Nayantara Bhartia is married to KK Birla’s grandson Shamit. Back in 2003, Nina founded a coffee and food chain called Javagreen. Nina Kothari took the responsibility of their family business, Kothari Sugars and Chemicals after her husband. As per reports, she was appointed the Chairperson of the company in 2015. Nina has a net worth of more than Rs 52.4 crores.
Who Is Deepti Salgaokar?
The youngest of the Ambani siblings, Deepti Salgaocar is married to Duttaraj Salgaocar, who is a businessman and owner of the Salgaocar group of companies. Deepti and Duttaraj’s love story began when the latter shifted on the 14th floor of the same building as Ambanis. The families grew close and became friends resulting in Duttaraj, Mukesh Ambani, and Anil Ambani becoming close friends. After dating for a few years, the Ambani brothers got their dearest sister married to Duttaraj. They have two children, Vikram Salgaocar and Isheta Salgaocar. Isheta is married to Atulya Mittal, the nephew of business tycoon Lakshmi Niwas Mittal and founder of Nexzu Mobility. Vikram, on the other hand, is happily single and is a graduate from Wharton Business School, Philadelphia.
While Nina and Deepti prefer to live a low-key life away from the limelight, we hope to see them take over the stage at one of the Ambani events someday.
