Alia Bhatt Takes Gangubai Kathiawadi To Berlinale In An All-White Pantsuit But We Aren’t Impressed
Those following Alia Bhatt’s all-white outfits for Gangubai Kathiawadi promotions have already done a crash course in sublimity. Her ethereal sarees are a sight to behold and this is easily one of her best promotion wardrobes. The actress is currently attending the Berlin International Film Festival for her film’s premiere and she is maintaining the all-white streak there as well.
Now the question is whether we are as obsessed with her Western whites as we have been by Alia’s Indian wear picks. The answer requires some deliberation and a breakdown of her latest all-white look.
When In Berlin: Alia Bhatt’s All-White Pantsuit
Yesterday for the Berlinale, Alia Bhatt took the entire ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do’ philosophy seriously and slipped into a pristine pantsuit by Berlin-based designer, Nobi Talai. The suit comprised an ivory double-breasted jacket that was matched with flared plissé trousers. She finished the look with statement danglers by Amama Jewels, a messy bun, and no-makeup makeup.
We are divided on this look. From the danglers to Alia’s hairdo, we like all the finishing details. She looks radiant in the minimal makeup and we love that messy bun on the actress. However, it is the garments that are holding us from giving it a thumbs up. For the starters, that blazer needs better-defined lines. The shoddily finished lapels do not help the case either. As far as the flared trousers are concerned, we think Alia would have done way better in something more structured. Or if she wanted flare, maybe she could have opted for a plissé skirt or dress from the designer ‘coz the current pairing is failing to make a mark.
Also, we can’t help but wonder why didn’t the actress stick to the entire Gangubai vibe with her saree outfit for the Berlin promotions as well. It is a hard-hitting look and would have definitely made an impression, right?
