Alia Bhatt may have lesser time on her hands now that she’s not only shooting but also spending time with baby Raha, but that doesn’t make her any less capable of doing it all. Alia, who is all set to play Sita opposite beau Ranbir Kapoor, was in Seoul recently for her first-ever Gucci show. During her time there, Bhatt managed to do her own makeup for an event and even filmed it for us!
Alia is a true blue skincare aficionado and her YouTube channel is proof of it. And despite forgetting multiple products as she mentioned in her latest video, ‘Aloo’ as her fans call her, still managed to look smashing after being her very own HMU artist.
Every Product Alia Bhatt Carries In Her Vanity
The new mom began her 10-minute video by explaining that she had just landed and would be doing her makeup in a very limited time. She began by first prepping her skin with a cream – one that was provided by her hotel! “I like sometimes trying out stuff that’s given by the hotel, and they’ve given this nice Aesop hydrating cream,” she says while massaging it into her skin and adding that she has used it in the past.
Unfortunately, the cream didn’t feel too good on her skin. “It’s a little chip chip” she said looking for ways to redeem it.
Bhatt’s ideal next step would be to layer on her skin tint, which she forgot to bring along. She made do with the It Cosmetics Cc+ Cream Nude Glow Lightweight + Glow Serum that she mixed with the Rhode Barrier Restore Cream. With this, she added a drop of Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer that has a pink tint to it. With her hands, she massaged this concoction into her skin. A total time-saving idea, no?
She then moved on to contour her skin with the Hourglass Ambient Lightning Finishing Powder, to accentuate her face shape.
To cover up her dark spots, Alia picked the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. She also dabbed some beneath both her eyes. “I’ve got this really persistent mark on my cheek that’s really irritating, but it’s all my fault because I was picking on it,” the actress explained while blending it with a black beauty blender.
She then went on to do her eyeshadow with the Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette with a “Nudey-brown tone”.
Adding that she’s quite a terrible packer, Alia revealed that she didn’t carry her eyelash curler along either! The Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes was her mascara of choice.
“I always use Benefit for my brows,” she said while filling her eyebrows in with the Benefit Brow Zings Eyebrow Shaping Kit. “Earlier I used to not shape my brows, I just started shaping them after my film Rocky Aur Rani,” she explained. Her first ever MUA, Mickey Contractor taught Alia to never touch her brows and Bhatt credited everything she knows about makeup to him!
The Benefit product has gained cult status for a reason and it’s my go-to product as well for doing my brows.
“I’ve got no shadow brush but I have three blush blushes, so you can see how obsessed I am with blush,” Bhatt giggles into the camera while dabbing the blush from the Hourglass Surreal Light Ambient Lighting Edit Palette on the highs of her cheeks. When in doubt – blush, seems to be her mantra!
Since I’m a blush babe at heart as well, I’ll be checking this product out soon.
To add a pop of colour to her look, she applied the Nars Velvet Matte Pencil in Dolce Vita to her lips.
Once she was done with her entire look, the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder to set her look and give her that sheer glow.
After her makeup, Alia moved on to her hair. She brushed it back into a sleek low ponytail and set it with the L’Oreal Elnett hairspray to keep her strands in check.
Bhatt clearly has a soft spot for Charlotte Tilbury and Hourglass products and I can see why. Now that I know the exact products she swears by, I know what my next month’s paycheck is going into!
