Aishwarya Rai’s Latest Fashion Outing Left Us Underwhelmed & We Have So Many Questions For Her Stylist

When we think of Paris, we think of fashion! So when paps snapped our own Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the city of love, we were way too excited to see her sartorial choices. While there is no doubt that the diva is one of the most beautiful women in the world, her recent fashion outing was not what we were hoping for.

The Guru actress is currently in the capital of France for the Le Defile L’Oreal Paris 2021, a part of the Fashion Week, and has been serving us looks! However, one particular pick from her style file has caught our eye and we are on the fence about it.

While Aish mostly hits the bull’s eye when it comes to her fashion choices, this time the diva has missed the mark. Take a look:

The entire attire was a combination of different aesthetics that didn’t compliment each other as a whole. Here’s what worked for us and what didn’t.

First, let’s start with what we loved. Aishwarya decided to wear a long ethnic jacket which was designed by Rahul Mishra. The gorgeous blue colour with pink detailing makes it a perfect pick for a festive outing. It looked elegant and we would love to wear something similar for the upcoming Diwali parties.

The former Miss World paired the jacket with bootcut jeans and a pair of black boots. Given how gorgeous the jacket looked, the jeans were a letdown. They were ill-flitted and the flared design didn’t do any favours to the silhouette. The two halves of the outfit didn’t work well together and appeared abrupt, in our opinion.

There was so much going on with Aish’s look that it is hard to understand what look the stylist wanted to go for. Perhaps as individual items, all these pieces would have looked good, but this messy ‘east meets west’ combination has failed to leave an impression.

The most irksome part about the look was that Aish’s jeans were cut at an awkward length. It was serving 2000s American High School vibes, and we had really hoped we left that trend behind in the last decade.  The same goes for the jacket that was almost ankle-length—perhaps with a shorter jacket, this look would appear more put together.

On the makeup front, the actress opted for pink lipstick and on-fleek eyeliner to complete the look. It was safe, inoffensive and beautiful—but it didn’t knock us out of the park.

Aishwarya’s look was an interesting experiment, but it didn’t work out for us. Let’s hope that the Bollywood beauty blesses us with better looks during the rest of her stay in Paris.
