Whenever there is a debate on nepotism, Alia Bhatt unwillingly takes up centre stage. In the last few years, she has become the poster child of the Bollywood insiders clan. A while ago, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also made a few remarks on how Alia is reaping the benefits of nepotism.
In an old interview with a digital platform, Aishwarya said that Alia gets “good opportunities and work” in her lap. The Guru star credited Karan Johar for it. Aish said, “I have said this to her (Alia) also, ‘It’s fantastic for you’. The kind of support Karan has given to her from the beginning, and to have that kind of an establishment with you is very comforting.” Check out the video:
Aishwarya didn’t undermine Alia’s acting abilities but simply pointed out that she has an advantage. As an outsider, Aishwarya had to take a much longer route to get the same opportunities as junior Bhatt had right from the beginning.
When Alia Bhatt Spoke About Nepotism
Alia is not the one to shy away from standing up for herself. During the worst nepotism storm, she spoke about how she handled the troll attack. In a media interaction, Alia said, “I can control one and prove my worth. I thought only my movies could end the conversation. I felt terrible. It’s a tiny price to pay for being acknowledged and liked for my work.”
As the popular saying goes, always let your work speak for yourself and Alia did that and she did it well. Even Aishwarya is proud of Aloo for her incredible work!
