Amitabh Bachchan’s dad, Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a famous Indian poet and writer of the Nayi Kavita literary movement. Despite having a successful acting career, Jaya Bachchan made an entry into politics and has been slaying it in both the worlds. And as per recent reports, even Abhishek Bachchan is all set to venture into politics.

A few days ago, reports of Abhishek Bachchan following his mom’s footsteps and foraying into politics started doing rounds on the Internet. It all started when workers of the Samajwadi Party surveyed Prayagraj to assess Abhishek Bachchan’s popularity and suitability as a candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, a source close to the Guru actor shunned the rumours and shared that Abhishek will not be joining politics, at least not anytime soon.

Speaking to a leading daily, the source shared how Abhishek was shocked to hear these baseless reports. He said, “Abhishek loves acting wholeheartedly and is deeply committed to his profession. The rumours about him entering politics have left him amused, as he has never expressed any desire to engage in political pursuits. Acting is his passion, and it’s highly unlikely he would seek anything beyond that.”

Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Ajay Devgn’s directorial, Bhola. He has some exciting releases lined up in the upcoming months. The list includes R Balki’s sports drama Ghoomer, Housefull 5, Dhoom 4, The Big Bull 2, and more. His next project Ghoomer is all set to premiere at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
