Aaliya Kashyap Asks Her Dad Some Awkward AF Questions & His Replies Will Surprise You!
As an 18 year old, every time I wanted to chill with my boyfriend, I had to lie to my parents and leave my house under the pretence of going for a ‘group studies’ session. And I’m sure most of you’ll relate to this! It was impossible to sneak out and spend quality time with our boyfriends back in the day, right? And then there are celeb kids who can have sleepovers with their boyfriends without their parents raising an eyebrow. We’re talking about Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap who is currently in India with her boyfriend Shane Gregoire.
Aaliyah is known to share funny and entertaining videos about her life, and her recent one has all our attention. She had recently held an AMA session and asked fans to ask questions for her dad Anurag. In the video, the celeb kid can be seen asking her father all sorts of questions ranging from his thoughts on her boyfriend to premarital sex. Yes, really! And papa Kashyap had the best replies. Want to know what he had to say? Keep reading.
Talking about Shane, Anurag replied to Aaliyah, “I like Shane. I like your choice in friends and your choice in boys. Shane is very good. He is very spiritual, very calm, he has a lot of qualities that men of 40 don’t have, in terms of being there in difficult situations.” Awww, isn’t that the sweetest thing a dad could say about his daughter’s beau?
Aaliyah also asked about his views on premarital sex, to which he had the most sensible reply. Anurag said, “It’s a question that we asked in the 80s. I think now we should get beyond that question. That’s a question that we used to ask when we were in college and we used to moralise.” To which Aaliyah added, “But I don’t think it needs to be like that anymore. I think times have moved a lot.” The Dev D director also added that one doesn’t need to do anything due to peer pressure. He advised, “Anything done to belong to a certain group of people is not good. Do it because you want to do something, because you feel ready and you have someone. It has to be special.” TBH, it makes total sense.

We have to say, the ‘coolest dad of the year’ award definitely goes to Anurag for his progressive mindset. Every Indian parent could use a lesson or two from Anurag’s book.
