Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment: 7 Types Of Contestants We See On Every Bigg Boss Season
What makes Bigg Boss one of the most popular reality shows in India? Duh, the contestants, obviously! They are the ones who can legit make or break the show because we spend more than an hour every day just to observe their personalities. Honestly, it doesn’t even matter who you are–a celebrity, a social media influencer, or a regular white-collar worker. If you are in the BB house, you are a star. Well, there are a few exceptions, of course, but that’s a topic for another day. Today is all about the contestants we see on Bigg Boss every year.
We don’t know if you have noticed or not, but there’s a pattern. That’s right, Bigg Boss, you might keep a watch on your gharwalas, but we got our eye on you. And, we have finally decoded the types of contestants this show welcomes in the house every year.

7 Types Of Contestants We See On Every Bigg Boss Season
From popular bahus, potential lovebirds, drama queens to ‘I’m-the-winner-and-I-know-it’, here are the seven types of contestants we see on every BB season.
Ye Roadies Wale Hai
They are the MTV prodigies. They often forget that they are no longer on Roadies or Splitsvilla and need frequent reminders of the same. How else would you explain their weird enthusiasm while performing the tasks? I mean, relax guys it’s just a task. No one’s going to judge you if you don’t eat that bowl of chillies because we all know that’s stupid AF.
Case in point: Prince Narula, Priyank Sharma, Surbhi Rana
Game Baad Mein, Pehle Pyaar
They are the ones who treat Bigg Boss like their swayamvar. ‘Forget about the game and find me my soulmate‘—that’s pretty much their motto in the house. Also, finding a new love interest in the house and ditching their old flame who’s waiting for them outside is not an unknown concept in BB. What can we say? We are a sucker for romantic stories and these contestants know that quite well.
Case in point: Puneesh Sharma, Bandagi Kalra, Paras Chhabra
The Kitchen Kweens
The OG bahus of daily soaps who are way too psyched to get into the kitchen. Every season, they are the ones who are seen cooking for the entire house. Well, if you haven’t figured it out, then here it goes—kitchen politics is the main element of the show. Most of the fights in the house are over their beloved rotis and these kitchen kweens love thy drama!
Case in point: Shilpa Shinde, Dolly Bindra, Rashami Desai
The Ones Who Are Always Lost
They enter the show to get eliminated in the first few weeks itself. I’m sorry, but that’s the sad truth. One look at them and we know that they have absolutely no idea about what’s going on inside the house. They don’t talk, entertain, bond with other gharwalas or the audience, get nominated, and bid adeau in the first eviction round itself. Sad, but predictable.
Case in point: TBH, no one remembers ‘coz they left the show too soon
The OG Kaamchors
They won’t work, they will dodge all their duties, and do whatever they do halfheartedly. Behind every “The washroom is so dirty, the lawn is not clean, the beds are not made” are those contestants who hate to work. We often spot them sleeping most of the time and giving instructions to others on how to do their work. Well, there’s a reason why host Salman Khan has been cleaning the house for the past couple of seasons.
Case in point: Sonali Raut, Romil Chaudhary
The Masla Creators
They are the drama kings and queens. Every fight in the house is either because of them or around them. And, if it isn’t, then they make it about them. Yeah, that’s how much they love attention. And drama.
Case in point: Rahul Vaidya, Nikki Tamboli, Sidharth Shukla
The Peace Lovers
On the other hand, these are ones who pacify the fights. They try to be the voice of reason (umm, which is weird given that they live in a chaotic house) and are treated as the sensible ones. Well, if only they knew that peace in Bigg Boss is a big-time myth.
Case in point: Dipika Kakar, Juhi Parmar, Abhinav Shukla
TBH, we are waiting to meet the new Bigg Boss 15 contestants who will fit the bill perfectly.
