According to a report by Essence in November 2023, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty is the number-one celebrity brand in the world, valued at $2.8 billion. People love the singer, and her brand, albeit expensive, is believed to be reasonably priced as compared to other brands in the same category.

2. Kylie Cosmetics by Kylie Jenner

The inception of Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics dates back to 2015 when it was called Lip Kit by Kylie, selling a lip liner set and liquid lipstick. A year later, the company was renamed to its present name. Today, the brand is exceedingly popular internationally. It sells an array of products across three segments – cosmetics, skincare, and baby care (skin and hair care for babies). In 2019, Coty Inc. purchased a controlling stake in the company for $600 million.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s Anomaly Haircare launched exclusively at the US-based retail chain Target in February 2021. Chopra brought the brand to her home country in August of the following year. In 2022, the brand made a revenue of ₹4,300 crore, reported Business Insider India. It was declared as the second wealthiest beauty brand, after Rihanna’s Fenty, in 2023.

Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty launched in September 2020, exclusively through Sephora Stores in North America. Today, it’s available in many countries across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. The brand came to India last year in June and became the centre of attention. It hosts a range of makeup and skincare products, including makeup application accessories. The brand is vegan and cruelty-free.

5. R.E.M. Beauty by Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande’s beauty brand, R.E.M. Beauty, was launched in 2021. Its name is inspired by her song R.E.M. from her fourth studio album, Sweetener. The brand’s concealer is available in up to 60 different shades. Additionally, it hosts a range of cruelty-free and paraben-free products for skincare and makeup. In 2023, Grande’s brand was among the top 10 celebrity brands in the world.
