4 Times Bollywood Singers Were Attacked At Their Concerts

Most music stars live for the thrill of live performance! However, performing in an open stadium can be a risky affair at times. Few of the music stars have even been attacked while performing. Scroll down to know all about the desi singers who were attacked during live concerts.

Arijit Singh’s Hand Injury

During his performance in Aurangabad, Arijit got his hand seriously injured. It all happened when an excited fan pulled his hand and the singer had to pause his concert. The singer later schooled the fan for her actions and said, “You have to understand. You are a grown-up, right? You are a mature person, right? Why did you pull me like that? My hand is shaking right now. I can’t move my hand.” While Arijit’s fan apologised multiple times, it was a scary incident.

Guru Randhawa Attacked In Canada

In July 2019, Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa was happily performing for his fans in Vancouver, Canada when he sustained an injury. The singer was attacked by a Punjabi man after his performance. Luckily he managed to avoid any grave injury. Guru’s team shared a statement about the attack and it reads, “When Guru finished the show and was leaving the stage, that Punjabi man came and hit him hard on his face with a punch, because of which Guru started bleeding on the spot from his forehead.” The man who launched the attack was later arrested.

Sonu Nigam was attacked and manhandled at his concert in Mumbai earlier in 2023. A man at the concert attacked the singer and his team over a selfie. In the scuffle, Sonu his close aide Rabbani Khan along with his bodyguard sustained some injuries. In a media interaction, following the unfortunate incident, the singer said, “After the concert, I was coming down from stage when a man Swapnil Prakash Phaterpekar held me. Then he pushed Hari & Rabbani who came to save me. Then I fell on the steps. I filed a complaint so that people should think about forcefully taking selfies and causing a scuffle.”

It is hard for performers to be careful about their security all the time. But what we can do as fans is make sure the artists have their space while performing.
