2023 was a good year for manicures. Nails artists and influencers gave us glazed donut nails, micro French tips, cherry red coffins…I can keep going, but I think you get the point. As the new year rolled around, fancier manicures took the spotlight. It is now completely normal to spend nine hours at a nail salon and pay upwards of 7k for a fresh set. It’s #selfcare after all!
My most recent obsession has been 3D nails. You know, those fancy sets that take days to finish, cost as much as a new wardrobe (plus shoes), and leave you practically unable to use your hands for everyday tasks? Yeah, those. Here’s a list of inspiration I’ve saved to show my manicurist when my FD ends.
A Few Fun 3D Nail Ideas That Stand Out, Literally
This set of fairy core nails is a very accurate representation of Barbie’s Fairytopia. If you haven’t seen it – why?
Looking for something a bit sweeter? These pink drop nails are perfectly pink and that’s all you need to know actually.
You’ve heard about the micro French tip trends, how about making it – macro? Sometimes, more is more.

For those of you who just want an entire suitcase on your nails.
Chains are just for your neck anymore, jewellery on my nails? Yes please!
So, you don’t add gemstones to your nails yet? How are you going to manifest the life you want without them?
Hibiscus themed nails have to be one of my absolute favourites for the year – a modern take on cherry red.
Pretty self-explanatory.
