In a distressing turn of events for Janhvi Kapoor’s family, two more of their house helps have tested positive for COVID-19. The news comes when the entire family and their house helps have already been in self-quarantine after one of their 23-year-old staff members tested positive.
A couple of days ago, Janhvi Kapoor had shared her father’s statement on Instagram to avoid unnecessary rumour and panic, “Yes, the house help was tested positive and we are taking all the precautionary measures though myself, my children and the other staff at home, none of us are showing any symptoms as of now. BMC and the government authorities have been prompt and very helpful. We will do as told by them.” Boney’s statement also reassured everyone that they have all been quarantined as per the BMC guidelines.
“We are all fine at home and none of us are showing any symptoms. In fact we haven’t left our home since the Lockdown started. We are thankful to Govt of Maharashtra and BMC for their swift response. We shall be diligently following the instructions and advise given to us by BMC and their medical team. We are sure that Charan would soon recover and be back at home with us,” Boney had stated in Janhvi’s post.
This is rather alarming, given that most of Boney Kapoor’s staff was quarantining at their home itself. Boney had also confirmed the same in his media statements. Till now Kanika Kapoor, Shaza Morani, Zoa Morani, and Karim Morani happen to be among the Bollywood celebs who have already been infected by the novel coronavirus.
This, of course, has a lot to do with the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Mumbai and in Maharashtra as a whole. With an active case tally crossing the 41k mark, Maharashtra currently remains the most adversely affected state in India. Studies have predicted that the numbers are easily expected to hit the 55k mark and the state yet to see its COVID-19 active case peak.
Meanwhile, we hope that Janhvi, Khushi, Boney, and their staff remain safe at home.
