Especially with funky hair colours like blue and pink where the hair is bleached before the final colour is applied. Unless you follow it up with a proper hair care routine, it’s basically slow death for your hair.

Nourishing Hair Masks For Colour Treated Hair

DIY Avocado Hair Mask

You’ll Need:

  • 1 Ripe avocado
  • Almond oil
  • Folk
  • Bowl

Step 1: In a bowl, add one ripe avocado, and 2-3 drops of almond oil and mash it using a fork.

Step 2: Apply this DIY hair mask on your scalp and especially on hair ends for 30-45 mins.

Avocado is rich in Vitamin B & E that helps to strengthen, nourish and protect hair that’s damaged or colour treated. Use this mask 1-2 times a week for the best results.

DIY Pumpkin Hair Mask

You’ll Need:

  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 3-4 tbsp. dahi
  • Bowl

Step 1: In a bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well to turn it into a fine puree.

Step 2: Apply it on your hair ends and scalp 45 mins before taking a shower and that’s it.

Pumpkin is loaded with antioxidants that help protect the hair from external factors such as pollution and UV rays. It’s also rich in vitamin A which helps repair the hair from within.

DIY Honey Mask

You’ll Need:

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • Bowl

Step 1: In a microwavable bowl, combine both the ingredients and then put it in the microwave for 15 secs.

Step 2: Carefully take out the bowl and leave it to cool down for a couple of seconds before applying it to your hair ends.

You can apply this DIY hair mask on your scalp without heating it too. But if you have damaged hair ends, then make sure you heat it up as it really makes frizzy ends calm down and softer to touch.
