“If you can use it on a baby, we can most definitely use it on our face too!?”
I know that’s what you’re thinking and you’re absolutely right! We can use baby oil on our face as it is more gentle and a multi-purpose product you never knew you needed. It is not only gentle but you’re going to love the way it feels on the skin if you love playing with different types of oils on your face. And if you do not like the concept of applying oil all over the face, it might change your perception as it is super lightweight and breathable.
So without further ado, let’s understand why and how we can use baby oil on our face.
Baby Oil For Face
Just like you use baby oil on a baby’s bottom to treat dry skin or diaper rash, you can use it on your face if you have dry skin. Since it is paraben-free, free of artificial colour or eyes and formulated to be hypoallergenic, you can also use it if you have sensitive skin.
Just remember that it is not a miraculous product that will somehow treat all your skin woes magically but you can use it in some other, awesome ways today.
For An Instant Dose Of Moisturisation
Since it is an oil, you can totally replace your facial moisturiser with it, especially in winters when the skin is dry, pretty much all the time. Just take 2-3 drops of baby oil and apply it after you wash your face as it allows the oil to seep deeper into the skin’s layers.
It is also an excellent product if you have sensitive skin as it is free of toxic radicals and artificial fragrance. Unlike other ‘thicker’ oils, it won’t clog your pores so if you have acne, you can go for it too.
And if you are not okay with the idea of layering your skin with an oil, you can use it just on the dry patches or mix it with your daily facial moisturiser.
To Remove Makeup
Oil-based makeup removers have become such a hit in the beauty industry with more and more people realizing how effective they are at removing makeup. This has also lead to people using their fave coconut oil to remove heavy makeup. And if you are all about using the oil cleansing method to remove your makeup, then you should give baby oil a try.
Simply pour a few drops into a cotton pad and gently rub it all over your face. To remove makeup from your lashes (or other stubborn areas), dab a Q-Tip into baby oil and use it to remove makeup residue. Just don’t forget to wash your face with a foaming cleanser afterwards to get rid of all the residue.
To Take Care Of Your Cuticles
Taking care of cuticles is, unfortunately, underrated. People tend to ignore their cuticles and usually leave it for the manicurists to remove the excess skin whilst getting a mani. Your cuticles need attention and using a cuticle oil is the right way to go about it.
But a baby oil does a job just fine. Just massage your fingertips with a baby oil every day before dozing off and show your cuticles some love and care.
