10 Gorgeous Indian Wear Looks That Prove The Kapoor Sisters’ Love For Manish Malhotra

Effortless outfits that are high on comfort maybe her first choice (as Kareena Kapoor Khan told us during this interview), but the Indian wear looks that she opts for, along with sister Karisma Kapoor, are nothing short of awe-striking. It’s safe to say that in the style department, the Kapoor sisters have it all figured out. Their go-to designer for ethnic picks? The inimitable Manish Malhotra, of course!

From elaborate lehengas to fusion sarees, there is no one the sister duo trusts more than the ace designer they are friends with and we have pictures that are proof.

The Kapoor Girls’ Way

Scroll below for the best MM looks by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor.

Sangeet Ready

For cousin Armaan Jain’s sangeet, the Kapoor sisters unsurprisingly went for their favourite designer, both opting for Manish Malhotra outfits. Kareena Kapoor Khan picked a pastel lehenga incorporating embroidered details and matched it with a tasselled blouse. For the elder Kapoor sister, a layered white Indian wear look with intricate gold embroidery was the order of the star-studded evening.

Evening Wear Done Right

The reception following Sonam Kapoor’s much talked about nuptials saw the who’s who of Bollywood in attendance. In an outfit fit for the celebrations, Kareena Kapoor Khan went all out in an OTT gold saree and a risque blouse, giving the jewellery a miss. Accompanying her in the sister act was Karisma in a pale white saree comprising an elaborate border. Both looks—you guessed it—from Manish Malhotra.

Wedding Guest With A Twist

For one of the many ceremonies of Shloka Mehta and Akash Ambani’s wedding festivities, Kareena Kapoor Khan stepped out in a white Manish Malhotra ensemble. Complete with a blue tint and mirror handiwork that imparted a unique look, the lehenga was paired with a precious stone-encrusted choker.

Making Bling Work

Clad in a sequinned saree by the designer for a TV show appearance, the younger Kapoor sister made heads turn. A step off the usual course, the cocktail party-worthy look included an uber-sexy blouse in a matching colour. On the jewellery front, Kareena Kapoor Khan wore a Polki necklace, making for a scintillating Indian wear look.

Black Is The New Black

It takes two to tango, doesn’t it! Donning a similar look from Manish Malhotra’s ateliers was Karisma Kapoor, who wore sequinned black saree for Lakmé Fashion Week. This one was another perfect example of a fail-safe ethnic appearance. The strappy halter neck blouse was ideal to accompany the gleaming metallic saree; unembellished, the risqué option complemented the garment beautifully.

All In The Details

‘Go big in a Manish Malhotra outfit, or go home’ seems to be the Kapoor sisters’ fashion motto. Turning up the heat at an awards show, Kareena wore a black avant-garde lehenga, calling to attention the ornate embellishment. It was accompanied by a new-age blouse which included a sheer plunging neckline and trumpet sleeves. Trust us, it doesn’t get more extravagant than this!

Vibrant Leanings

How to successfully pull off a colourful lehenga, you ask? If you need lessons, take a look at Karisma Kapoor’s vibrant MM look that she wore for an outing. Paired with a black full-sleeved blouse and a matching dupatta, the styling for the Indian wear attire was on-point!

White Like Never Before

We sure hope you haven’t forgotten one of the best Manish Malhotra looks donned by Kareena Kapoor Khan. Here’s a reminder anyway! Styled with a flattering blouse—beads, sequins and the rest in tow—the Bollywood actor’s white saree made for a refreshing look.

We sure can’t pick just one from this array of looks served by the Kapoor sisters, can you? Tell us in the comments!
