I still remember how ‘grown-up’ I felt when I watched Sana Saeed aka baby Anjali from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai flirting with Varun Dhawan in Student of The Year. It’s amazing how child actors and their characters become a part of our lives as we age. It is so hard to think about Emma Watson as a 29-year-old when I’ve grown up admiring the 11-year-old Hermoine Granger, but at the same time, it’s exciting!
Many Bollywood actors have amazed us with their characters on screen both as kids and adults. They were stars during their childhood days and they are stars now. Here are a few we can’t stop admiring!
1. Alia Bhatt

In 1999, Alia Bhatt made her Bollywood debut with Sangharsh and now, with films like Highway and Raazi, she’s one of the most talented actresses Bollywood has ever seen.
2. Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor, who is the proud father to two gorgeous kids – Misha and Zain, started his acting career as a Complan boy. He appeared in the Complan ad alongside Ayesha Takia. At the moment, he’s busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Kabir Singh.
3. Urmila Matondkar

Urmila Matondkar might have entered politics at the age of 45 but the actress started working in films when she was nine. Her first role was in Masoom in 1983.
4. Ayesha Takia

Much like Shahid Kapoor, Ayesha Takia also started her acting career as a Complan girl. She was in the same ad as Shahid Kapoor. The two played brother and sister. Before her debut in Bollywood, Ayesha Takia was also seen in a Falguni Pathak video. The actress is currently focusing on her family and photoshoots.
5. Aamir Khan

Considering his family background, Aamir was never a stranger to the film industry. He also appeared on screen at a young age. He was only eight when he was seen in two popular songs in Yaadon Ki Baaraat which was released in 1973. His last film Thugs of Hindustan may not have pleased his fans but he is still known as Mr Perfectionist in Bollywood.
6. Fatima Sana Shaikh

From the iconic film Chachi 420 to Dangal to Thugs of Hindustan, Fatima Sana Shaikh has come a long way to prove her loyalty to Bollywood. The 27-year-old actress starred as Kamal Hassan’s onscreen daughter at the age of five.

7. Sana Saeed

The cute Anjali in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai who loved singinggg and dancinggg and making her father’s life more romantic surprised many in Student of The Year. She might have been shown in the negative in the film but she sure nailed the role.
8. Sridevi

Sadly, in February 2018, we lost our dearest diva but the work she did stays with us forever. Sridevi started working in films at the early age of four and did not stop until the end. She was born to act!
9. Kunal Khemmu

Kunal Khemmu started his acting career with Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke in 1993 alongside Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. The actor was last seen in a negative role in Karan Johar’s Kalank.
10. Imran Khan

Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan, who is apparently going through a separation with his wife Avantika Mallik, was launched as a lead by Aamir himself in Jaane Tu Ya Jane Na. However, the actor had already started acting as a child in Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.
11. Hrithik Roshan

Known as the Greek god of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan started his acting career with Aasha in 1980. He was also paid Rs 100 for his first job and he used the money to buy a toy car for himself.
