When Nick said that his wife looks *hot* at the Billboard Music Awards, we found ourselves nodding in agreement. TBH, PeeCee looked even better at this year’s Met Gala. A little different than her usual fashion choices but more like a sexy Martian, I would think! After all, for this year, the theme is “Camp: Notes on Fashion”. Based on Writer and Cultural Critic, Susan Sontag’s famous essay, celebrities were given the liberty and freedom to express their avant-garde side.
Priyanka Chopra showed up in a dramatic silver mesh Dior gown wearing a cage crown, a multi-coloured feathered-hem cape, purple drop earrings and silver pumps.
You know what fascinated me the most? Her hair and makeup!
I’m not sure if I love her curls done by Bok-Hee or her galactic makeup more? Those silver-frosted lashes, white lower lashline, burgundy lips and plum tinted lids – MUA, Pati Dubroff, made PeeCee look like a queen! Nick, on the other hand, looked dapper as usual wearing a crisp white Dior suit.
You know who else looked marvelous at the Met? Our lovely Deepika Padukone. She looked like a Disney princess in that Zac Posen metallic pink embellished gown. Not to mention that her makeup done by Sandhya Shekar was gorgeous. Purple wings, poppin’ jawline and bold lips – Deepika is a true style icon!
I’m also glad that she wore her hair big this time and did not opt for the classic low bun and ponytail. Gabriel Georgiou indeed did a fab job styling Deepika’s hair once again!
What I admire about these ladies is that both of them did not play it safe this time. They embraced colour, tried new hairstyles, experimented with bold makeup looks – everything that’s poles apart from their comfort zones.
Kudos to you, beauties! May you always continue to push boundaries.
