The moment we have all been waiting for has come! Cannes 2019 is here. It’s that time of the year when celebrities don the most beautiful outfits and set the red carpet ablaze with their glam avatar.
From Priyanka Chopra’s stunning outfits to Deepika Padukone’s black and white gown, we’ve been glued to our phone screens since the pictures have come out.
We’ve been curious to see what Kangana Ranaut would wear after we learned that she even lost 5 kilos in ten days ahead of the film festival. And like always, the Queen didn’t disappoint when it came to grabbing eyeballs.
The actress’ team, stylist Ami Patel and designers Falguni And Shane Peacock created a unique Kanjivaram saree for her red carpet look. And along with her custom made Kanjivaram saree, Kangana also donned a pair of purple gloves. Her look was accessorized with an embossed kamarband and her hair was immaculately tied in a bun, with a twirled flick on the side. What a surprise this outfit was!
But wait, that’s not all! Kangana’s look for the Grey Goose party has also come out, and trust us, it’s as different as night and day from the saree look.
She was seen wearing a bold black Nedret Taciroglu pantsuit that made her look fiery. It was paired with a nude barely-there bustier that flaunted a plunging neckline. Once you peel your eyes away from all the cleavage, you would notice that the black blazer had silver work on it that complemented the waistcoat well.
Her pantsuit ensemble included an exaggerated collar with silver trimmings. The actress looked sizzling with heavy eye makeup, nude lips and her hair sleekly pulled back.
She talked about her idea of nationalism at Cannes. She said: “I don’t know when and how nationalism and being liberal became two different things because nationalism is something very spiritual in nature. When you identify with another being, when you fall in love with someone, it is such an exhilarating feeling. You include them, and you feel one with them. And if you identify with a set of people, that makes your family, right? And then you start to identify with your village, your caste people… It expands your experience of inclusiveness. So, nationalism is nothing but identifying with a whole lot of people who have vowed to be in the same constitution or have the same passport or vow to protect the same land. It’s nothing but your extended family.”
