After making headlines at this year’s Met Gala in New York City, Deepika Padukone, took some time off to pay Neetu and Rishi Kapoor a visit. As some of you know, Rishi Kapoor has been battling cancer for a while now. In fact, he and his wife left for New York in September 2018 and are currently still living in NYC. How do we know that these three met? Well, Neetu Kapoor posted a pic of them together just a few hours ago.
Her Instagram caption reads as, “Such a fun evening with adorable @deepikapadukone .. gave a lot of love n warmth 😍” This picture gives off such positive vibes and I can’t be more proud of Deepika to put family over a failed relationship first. Even though she’s married to Ranveer Singh and her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor is dating Alia Bhatt, that has not come in the way of her relationship with Ranbir’s parents, Rishi and Neetu. In spite of the fact that Ranbir and Deepika’s relationship ended on a bitter note, it’s nice to see that they’ve let bygones be bygones. She has a special bond with Ranbir’s parents and only has good intentions for Alia and Ranbir. The silver lining is that on May 1st, Rishi Kapoor started his 8th month of treatment. By God’s grace, he now claims to be cancer-free.
However, he admits that it hasn’t been a smooth sailing experience. He says that it’s because of his family’s prayers, his wife, Neetu’s support and the good wishes from fans, he has managed to power through these treatments. According to Ranbir, his father should return to India in a month or two. Nevertheless, we hope that Rishi Kapoor and his family stay strong during this challenging phase.
