The pre-wedding festivities have already begun for Prateik Babbar and his bae Sanya Sagar who are all set to tie the knot soon. The couple had their haldi and mehendi ceremony yesterday and the pictures are doing rounds on the social media.
The pictures in which the couple looks all smiles were shared by Sanya on her Instagram profile.
Prateik is seen wearing an off-white kurta paired with a bottle green dupatta while the stunning bride-to-be looks elegant in a yellow dress and floral tiara. The mehendi and haldi ceremony was an intimate affair with the couple’s close friends and family in attendance at Sanya’s farmhouse in Lucknow. According to reports, the wedding is today.
Sanya and Prateik, who have known each other for over ten years, started dating two years ago. They got engaged in January 22 last year. Shortly after, Prateik had confirmed in an interview that he is ready to get married.

He was quoted as saying, “Sanya and I, along with our families, decided that something as pure as love, should be solemnised on an auspicious day and what better day than Basant Panchmi. She’s the best partner I could have asked for. It didn’t take me long to figure out that she was the one for me. I know it sounds cliche but I can’t stop counting my blessings and thanking God for all the good that is happening in my life.”
Prateik is the son of veteran Bollywood actors Raj Babbar and Smita Patil. He made his acting debut in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. He also starred in Dhobi Ghat, Dum Maaro Dum, Ekk Deewana Tha, and Issaq. He remained out of limelight for five years and made a comeback in 2018 with Tiger Shroff starrer Baaghi 2 as an antagonist. He will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore.
Sanya, on the other hand, is a writer-director-editor and has produced several short films and music videos. She is a NIFT graduate and completed her masters from London. Sanya is the daughter of Bahujan Samaj Party leader Pawan Sagar.
