Simple Homemade Fack Pack Recepies
Apart from maintaining a healthy diet and a strict CTM regime, these DIY face packs can prove helpful in reducing dark spots. Most of them use kitchen-friendly ingredients, are super hydrating and also give you a glow.
Coconut and Olive Oil
We have been hearing about the benefits of coconut oil since ages and for good reason. Both oils are rich in vitamin E and K that help improve skin tone and remove sun spots, age spots, and dark patches.
How To Make
- Mix 2 tablespoons of coconut oil with olive oil.
Application
Gently massage onto the areas affected by dark spots for 4 to 5 minutes in circular motions. To remove excess oil, wipe your face with cotton soaked in lukewarm water.
Potato and Lemon Juice
It does wonders for the removal of dark spots and blemishes. Both potatoes and lemons have natural bleaching properties that brighten and even out skin tone.
How To Make
- Take a few slices of potato and soak it in 1 cup of hot water for 20 minutes. Drain the potato juice into the bowl. Add 1/2 freshly squeezed lemon juice to it. Place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 45 mins-1 hour.
Application
Apply it on your face twice a day with the help of a cotton ball.
Yoghurt and Gram Flour (Besan)
A powerful homemade face pack to remove spots caused due to exposure to pollution and sun damage, gram flour helps brighten your complexion too.
How To Make
- Mix 2 tbsp of gram flour (besan) and 2-3 tablespoons of fresh yoghurt.
Application
Apply the paste on your face, leave it for 30 minutes and then wash your face with cool water.
Tomato and Honey
These kitchen-friendly ingredients are not only hydrating but also super corrective. It clears the skin pores, lightens dark patches, removes pigmentation marks and lightens dark spots.
How To Make
- Grind a ripe tomato in a mixer and drain the juice into a bowl.
- Add 2 tsp of honey and mix it well.
Application
Apply this homemade face pack two to three times a day.

Papaya and Green Tea
Papaya is probably the best fruit to get the perfect glow and of course, green tea is full of antioxidants. This homemade face pack is very effective in fighting dark spots and pigmentation. The antioxidant properties help lighten dark spots.
How To Make
Mix 1/2 cup of ripe mashed papaya pulp, 1/4 cup green tea water and mix to form a semi-smooth paste.
Application
Before applying this homemade face pack, take some steam to open the pores. Keep it on for 30 minutes. Remove the face pack using cold water.
Baking Soda, Lemon and Sugar
Baking soda is not only used to bake cakes but also to remove dark spots. It exfoliates your skin, removes bacteria and unclogs pores.
How To Make
- Take 1 tbsp of sugar in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoon lemon juice and a 1/2 tsp of baking soda to it
Application
Take some mixture on your hand and gently scrub to the areas where you have those stubborn dark spots and blemishes.
Cumin Seeds and Rice Water
This is an extremely effective remedy to remove dark spots on face. Both cumin seeds and rice water benefits the skin and are home staples so you can do this as often as needed.
How To Make
- Boil 2 tablespoons of cumin seeds in 2 cups of water and drain the cumin seeds water into a bowl. Now add 1 cup of rice water to it and stir thoroughly. Pour the contents into ice cube trays and allow it to freeze.
Application
Rub an ice cube on the affected areas for 1-3 minutes.
Saffron and Cold Milk
Not only does this natural face pack help reduce spots but also gives you a natural glow.
How To Make
- Take a few strands saffron and mix it with milk in a bowl.
Application
Use cotton pads to apply this pack. Keep it overnight and wash off the next morning.
Neem and Rose Water
Neem has antibacterial and healing properties that remove bacteria from the skin that causes acne.
How To Make
- Grind a handful of neem leaves using rose water to make a thick paste.
Application
Apply a thick layer on your face. Leave it for 30 minutes and then wash your face with lukewarm water.
