Contour and highlight have been riding the wave since the Kardashians came to our lives. But all makeup artists have been playing with shade and light as long as they have done makeup. If I had to pick someone today who has an amazing nose it would probably be Kim Kardashian. But someone closer to home would be Shilpa Shetty Kundra or even Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra. Their contour has always been on point.
While mastering a face contour is fairly easy, the nose is where it gets a little tricky. So we gathered all the hacks, tips and tricks to make sure your nose contour was the bomb!
1. Always invest in smaller brushed for your nose. Do not use your usual contour brush.
2. If you are starting off with contouring, just start off with using a lighter brown and then gradually move to a darker brown as and when you feel confident.
3. Instead of drawing a stark line through the nose line, draw shorter strokes.
4. If you are using a cream or stick, use a thinner brush to get precise lines on the sides of your nose.
5. Make sure you add a little shade to the bottom part of the tip of your nose near the nostrils.
6. Highlight the bridge area once more after you’re done blending in the first layer of contour and highlight.
7. Use a brighter shade of concealer under your eyes near the nose to make sure your nose looks narrower.
8. Make most of a beauty blender to blend in your contour for a seamless blend and no harsh lines.
9. If you do not have a special contouring product your best bet is a bronzer or a cool toned brown eyeshadow and a clean fluffy eyeshadow brush.
10. Finally, this seems like a no-brainer, but before you decide to contour, focus on your face. Stare at your nose, every nose shape is different and therefore requires different types of treatment when it comes to contouring!
