Mouni Roy made her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar with Gold and the latter had something to say about her behaviour on the sets. The two got along famously and were comfortable with each other during the press conference. This is where the actor proceeded to tell a leading publication about Mouni and his relationship.
“We are friends. We enjoy ourselves. I play a lot of games with them, and there has not been even one day on the sets that we haven’t played. Mouni wouldn’t play any games. She was a snob on the sets of the film,” said Akshay Kumar, hinting towards his prankster reputation.
According to reports, Mouni immediately stepped in to say that she played games like ludo and snakes and ladders. Her response was followed by a laugh from Akshay Kumar, keeping the mood of the room light and fun.
When asked about working with Mouni Roy and other newcomers, he continued to say, “So, I just enjoy with them. I don’t have any approach. It is not like – I have been in the industry for 28 years now and they are new, so I will act differently. My approach towards them is that they are really good friends, and I try to learn and gain from them as much as possible.”
Their film Gold centres around a hockey coach played by Akshay Kumar who aspires for a free India to win a Gold at the Olympics. Mouni Roy plays the part of his wife in this movie that has already collected Rs 25.52 crores at the box office.
