Last night at ICW 2018, designer Amit Aggarwal made his couture week debut and how! The designer is known for his futuristic and edgy Indian wear and his unconventional drapes. Amit chose the showstopper for his show wisely because no one can do justice to a larger than life saree like… you guessed it, Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
Look at her! No, look at the saree! No, look at her. We’re slightly lost and confused and it’s obvious why. We can’t tell what’s a more stunning sight – Shilpa Shetty or Amit’s version of a modern saree.
Amit dressed Shilpa in a ‘new age corded with intricate hand embellishments and signature polymer details’ from the Crystalis couture collection, he mentioned in his Instagram caption.
The supremely modern berry and black outfit consisted of, what looks like a, leather halter top with an interesting pattern framing the plunging neckline. The draped midi-skirt had a long pleated train attached on one side and was short on the other. It also had a majestic sheer ‘palla’ fixed to the waist of the skirt and was draped over one shoulder…
As Shilpa walked down the ramp, we couldn’t help but regret those extra cheat meals. The woman looked smokin’ hot and we bet she really stuck to her ‘Sunday binge’ plan. Shilpa in that saree gave us a boss-woman vibe combined with ‘super-hero’ and ‘Disney Villain’.
Coming to Shilpa’s beauty look… There’s just something about a glossy berry lip, matte face and slicked back hair that says ‘she means business’. Contrasting with pink eyeshadow and a brown eyeliner, the makeup was soft on the eyes and added the requisite balance to her sharp look.
Mrs Shetty Kundra’s makeup and hair brought a glam Disney-witch vibe to the ensemble and we can’t say we hated the whole look. In fact, we’re so in awe, we’re just going to ‘shut up and bounce’! Get it?
