We’ve always loved Sonam for being one of the few in the industry who is always open to trying something new trend. And there’s a subtle new change in her makeup routine too. Instead of always sticking to brown and nude lipsticks, Sonam Kapoor is trying all shades of red lipstick off late. And killing it.

1. She went with an all classic red lipstick at yesterday’s promotional event for Veere Di Wedding. Don’t you think the glossy finish reflects well in the photo?
2. We love how she skipped the classic red and zoomed into shades of berry. If you look closely, you’d feel it has a hint of purple. P.S.: Keeping your base nude and your hair back is probably a good idea when going for a berry lip.
3. Or the time she dialled up the sass when she wore a chikan waistcoat kurta set. No wonder her makeup artist (and Plixxo influencer) Namrata Soni was asked by multiple followers to disclose the lip shade.
4. Of course, I couldn’t skip the time she was missing her hubby, Anand Ahuja in Cannes and wore a white shirt from Bhane. The biggest lesson? Make neutral outfits pop with a deep red (the bun was a great touch too).
5. That’s the best part about red. There’s so much versatility to it. The undertones of orange make it perfect for someone like me who’s always a bit hesitant to wear blood red.
6. She did wear a red lip on her wedding day but it was a tint that did not overpower her outfit by Anuradha Vakil. Bold brows and red lips are always a good combination.
7. Lastly, we can’t NOT forget the deep red she wore in Tareefan.
