Sonam and Anand’s wedding just got over and I don’t think we’ll forget it for a really (really) long time! With a marathon of shaadi functions all in a span of three days, we saw A LOT of outfit changes and design inspiration for the next wedding we attend. But the other Kapoor sisters, Janhvi and Khushi, stole the show with every single look they carried.
When it comes to fashion they are just like their mother, Sridevi, always seen in Manish Malhotra couture. The Kapoor women have been the biggest muses for Manish’s designs. He’s always dolling them up in his ensembles, the gram is proof. That’s why we weren’t surprised to see the Kapoor sisters in Manish Malhotra label for three out of the four functions at Sonam’s wedding.

Look 1: Ghar Ka Mehendi Function
Janhvi wore a white and golden sharara set and Khushi wore a royal blue and coral pink lehenga (from his recent Mijwan collection), with both of them twinning in chikankari embroidery if not in terms of colour or style. While Janhvi opted to accessorise with statement drop earrings, Khushi paired minimal drop earrings, metallic bangles and a box clutch. Both equally elegant looks for that simple ‘ghar ka function’.
Look 2: Mehendi & Sangeet
This is the function where they went rogue. The big mehendi cum sangeet took place at Sonam and Anand’s new house in BKC and the theme for this function was ‘Shades of White’. Janhvi and Khushi were seen in Tarun Tahiliani lehengas both in cutwork embroidery and floral appliqué work. Here’s your guide to wearing white in a glamorous way, ladies. No one will ever call white dull again! Accessorise with bold jewellery, maybe with coloured gemstones, for that celeb-like look. Did you notice their footwear? Pair flats or juttis to the sangeet function so you dance longer without hurting your feet.
Look 3: Anand Karaj aka The Wedding
Whether it’s a day wedding or a night, banquet wedding or outdoor, summer wedding or winter, Janhvi and Khushi will show you how to nail the ultimate wedding guest look. In Manish Malhotra couture, they both wore heavily mirror-worked lehengas with Jahnvi in blue and pink and Khushi in blue and yellow. Not just that, they’re twinning in jewellery too with their matching choker necklaces and maangtika. Looks like Khushi’s not a big fan of earrings, though! Good for the glam and the gram, isn’t it?
Look 4: The Reception Party
Why dress like everyone else, when you can take things up a notch! For the big reception, Manish Malhotra had different ideas for the sisters in mind. While Janhvi was dressed in Indian formals with her strappy sultry lehenga, Khushi was seen in western formals with her fairy-like ballgown. Though, both the outfits have two things in common – the glitter overload and the MM trademark low-cut neckline. Glam down with drop earrings when your outfit is this lit.
