When Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone decided to skip the Bollywood wedding of the year, they had a valid reason: MET Gala 2018! The two have given us all the reasons to be excited about their international red carpet appearances and here they are, wowing us all over again. While Deepika has been in the royal team of Bollywood for the longest time, Priyanka’s look is more proof that she’ll always be the queen at the red carpet.
People were still hung up over Priyanka’s dramatic Ralph Lauren trench coat, dark lipstick and high bun from MET Gala 2017 and she is back this year with a look to remember for another year.

For this year’s theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, Priyanka hit the red carpet in a deep burgundy velvet Ralph Lauren gown topped off with an incredible gold beaded hood. While we’ve seen plenty of pope crowns and crosses and some looks inspired by Jesus himself, Priyanka’s stunning jewelled hood stands out for it’s detailing and intricacy. Her jewelled MET Gala headpiece literally took days of compiling and the intricate hand beading on the gown took 250 hours of hand work. But don’t overlook Priyanka’s hair and makeup just yet!
The actress wore just enough Bulgari bling and sparkly nail paint to rival her studded hood. Notice her impeccably maintained full eyebrows and perfectly-floating-out lashes. Priyanka matched her crimson lipstick to her cardinal red velvet dress and her sparkly golden eyeshadow to her golden hoodie. Her middle-parted waves and the overall baroque vibe is entrancing. Priyanka pulled off her best out of this year’s religious theme!
PC’s hair, makeup, nails and styling were done by makeup artist Pati Dubroff and stylist Cristina Ehrlich.
Deepika Padukone, on the other hand, went ahead without a headgear in a red Prabal Gurung gown with a long train. She pulled off an all-red look and matched her lipstick with her outfit and heels. Deepika opted for loose gelled back hair which helped enhance her best features. With a bright all-red look it was necessary to go minimal on the hair. She looked stunning in a golden-bronze eyeshadow.
Deepika’s styling was done by Shaleena Nathani, her hairstyle was put together by Harry Josh and makeup was finished by Sandhya Shekar.
