The Festival de Cannes 2018 has been well underway. The past couple of days have been a celebration, of not just the films but also fashion and beauty thanks to our favourite Bollywood divas, Deepika Padukone, Huma Qureshi and Kangana Ranaut. They stirred up quite a few fashion rules and ruffled a lot of feathers and we mean that in the best way.
We were all waiting with baited breath for the queen to finally make her annual Cannes appearance, and the wait was so worth it (pun intended)! Along with her much-awaited Instagram debut, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wowed us with three mesmerising yet very achievable looks on her first day.
Look 1: Summer Escape With Beachy Waves
To keep up with the weather and the beautiful locales at Cannes, Aishwarya’s first look was kept pretty subtle and effortless. She donned a beautifully effervescent Manish Arora outfit for this.
For the makeup, the base was kept light, fresh and sweat proof with the L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24h Foundation, her eyes were kept muted with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche La Palette – Nude Beige and her lashes were amped up with the L’Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Mascara – Black. Her lips were given a subtle pink tint with the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Matte Gloss – 300 Blushing Ambition.
Her hair had some soft beachy curls and they let her burgundy highlights and natural hair colour take centre stage and shine in the sun.
Look 2: Goddess With A Train
In a gorgeous Micheal Cinco creation, Aishwarya made her first appearance on the red carpet at Cannes 2018, flanked of course by her beautiful daughter Aradhya.
Her makeup took a 360-degree turn for the red carpet. With a similar base from the morning, Aishwarya decided to do away with the bold eyes and subtle lips look and donned both to perfection. Her eyes were given a smokey base and then she was given a thick and shimmery cat eye in blue. On closer inspection, we found that it was a beautiful stream of sequins matching her ensemble. This look was tied together with a gorgeous red lip.
Her hair here was blown out and straightened into a sleek mop flowing down her back and tucked behind her ears.
Look 3: Switching It Up, Intelligently.
In a chic pantsuit by Armani, this outfit change was almost immediately after her red carpet appearance.
Very intelligently, Aishwarya switched up the outfit and amped up the heat by JUST tying her already straight sleek hair into a sleek ponytail. We cannot insist enough how much just a small hairstyle change can affect your look. Well, here’s proof.
We are still catching our breath from all the amazingness that happened. We can’t wait for what more Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has in store for us!
