Bollywood barely makes movies with female-centric characters so when they decided to make Veere Di Wedding, I found myself refreshing the YouTube page waiting for the trailer to launch. And lo and behold! We have the Indian version of Sex and the City we didn’t know we needed!
Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Shikha Talsania and Sonam Kapoor come together to emote what your girl gang represents. “This story is about 4 girls on different stages of their marital status, one is getting married, one is married, one is getting a divorce and one just isn’t getting married. So they are just four girls at an uncertain age, uncertain time so there are a lot of revelations in an entertaining way,” said Sonam Kapoor at the trailer launch, giving us an insight into this crazy film.

When Sonam and Kareena Kapoor were asked about the pressure women face for marriage, Kareena had a fitting response, “Would you have asked this question to a guy? Because they have the pressures of marriage as well. In today’s time, we’re sharing everything, we’re sharing responsibilities and sharing time.”
The film also stars Summet Vyas in an important role and is all set to release on 1st June 2018.
