But this time let’s talk about some of your favourite Bollywood celebrities and their non-Bollywood spouses things you didn’t know about them, things you should know about them. Shall we?
1. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli
December 11, 2017 – or as we call it #Virushka Day – is special not just for the couple but for all of us as well. The 29-year-old actress, Anushka Sharma, is the newest joinee in the list, having married boyfriend of almost five years, and Indian Cricket team captain, Virat Kohli . After Pari, Anushka’s upcoming is Sui Dhaaga with Varun Dhawan releasing on 28th September this year.
2. Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput tied the knot in 2015 and have been in the highlight since then whether they’re on a reality TV show, Instagram or having a second baby on the way (oh, you didn’t know?). The 23 year old from LSR got married right after her graduation (she was 21 then, by the way!)
3. Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Raj Kundra
Shilpa Shetty married Raj Kundra, a businessman, back in 2009 and has a six-year-old son Viaan. This is Raj’s second marriage. His interest in cricket led the couple investing in Rajasthan Royals during the first season of IPL but now has a life ban from cricket matches on him due to spot-fixing charges in 2013.
4. Madhuri Dixit Nene and Dr. Sriram Nene
Madhuri got (secretly) married to Dr Sriram Nene, who was a close friend of her brother Ajit Dixit, in 1999. The couple is extremely accomplished as well and have made a name for themselves in their respective fields. He’s one of the top health gurus in London with specialization in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. He’s an ace tennis player and a certified open-water diver too. But we do miss the dhak dhak girl of Bollywood, don’t we?
5. Imran Khan and Avantika Malik Khan
The chocolate boy of Bollywood is now a dad of a three year old baby girl, Imara, with his longtime girlfriend, Avantika Malik, who he married in 2011. Before dating Imran Khan, Avantika dated Ranbir Kapoor for almost five years (I know, we were surprised too!). She’s has made small appearances in Imran starrer Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu and I Hate Luv Storys.
6. Ayushmann Khurrana and Tahira Kashyap
Another famous celebrity who is married, surprisingly so, is Ayushmann Khurrana to Tahira Kashyap. She’s an author and also writes and directs plays. Recently, she directed a short film called Toffee. From attending Physics tuition in high school to raising two beautiful kids, Ayushmann and Tahira’s story is as filmy as Karan Johar’s movies.
7. Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough
The ‘Pretty Woman’ Preity Zinta’s appearances may be restricted to Kings XI Punjab matches in IPL, but when the actress married Gene Goodenough in 2016 in LA, she broke countless hearts. Reportedly, Gene was the one to stop Ness Wadia, her ex, at Wankhede Stadium (remember the molestations case she filed against him?) and shield Preity.
8. Sagarika Ghatge and Zaheer Khan
The ‘Chak De India’ girl Sagarika Ghatge tied the knot with longtime beau and cricketer Zaheer Khan in November 2017 in a private ceremony. You may not know this but Sagarika belongs to the royal family of Kolhapur. Zaheer announced his retirement from International cricket in 2015 and from IPL this year.
9. Hazel Keech and Yuvraj Singh
Hazel Keech and Yuvraj Singh got married in 2015. Remember Hazel’s superhit song ‘Aa ante amalapuram’ and Yuvraj’s six sixes against England? That’s another Bollywood-Cricket pair we can’t get enough of.

10. Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan
SRK and Gauri Khan have been #CoupleGoals for years now and there’s no denying it. They’ve been married for almost 27 years now with three beautiful children – Aryan, Suhana and AbRam – who need no introduction either. Sweet, right?
All eyes and hopes set on Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja (the next power couple, anyone?)!
