A few hours ago, Irrfan Khan put an end to the speculation that has been surrounding his health ever since he announced on Twitter that he was unwell. The Hindi Medium actor has talked about what disease he has been diagnosed with and how it is going to be treated, asking his well-wishers to keep him in their prayers.

He has been diagnosed with a Neuroendocrine tumour, which has less than 1 million cases recorded in a year in India, making it a rare disease. He will be leaving the country for treatment of this neuroendocrine tumour which can be found in the lungs and gastrointestinal tract, including the stomach and intestines. They are neoplasms that arise from the cells of endocrine (hormonal) and nervous systems. On 5th of March, the actor had put up a post describing his ongoing struggle while requesting the media to respect his condition and stop speculating over his health.
