All was good in Alia Bhatt’s world till last week when she celebrated her 25th birthday, but the update is that the actor has been injured on the sets. Alia was shooting an action sequence for her upcoming film Brahmastra opposite rumoured beau Ranbir Kapoor when she lost her balance, injuring her shoulder and arm.
The actor has been advised rest, which has brought the shooting schedule of Brahmastra to a standstill for a few days.
“On 17 March, Alia injured her shoulder while filming an action sequence. The schedule has been tough and challenging on several levels and this accident has set us back by two days. However, our highest priority is Alia’s recovery. She has been advised minimal movement of the arm which means she cannot resume filming her action sequences in the near future to prevent any further trauma to her shoulder,” Marijke Desouza, executive producer, Brahmastra, said in a statement.
There are rumours that there may be a blood clot which is the cause of immense pain. The team is currently in Bulgaria and director Ayan Mukherji took to Instagram to wish his best friend a speedy recovery.
Brahmastra is said to be a three-part franchise, with the first film set to be released in 2019.
