The next pair of lovebirds on our radar have obviously been Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone – a couple that has reinstated the laws of romance for us mere mortals. From their goofy but adorable PDA, thanking each other in award show speeches, gushing about each other in interviews, to even holding hands and attending screenings together, Ranveer and Deepika are redefining #CoupleGoals on every level.

After the most aggressive and turbulent couple of months that was for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, the couple stepped out together for the screening of the movie in Mumbai on 23rd January, and looked very much in love.
Though the couple initially never chose to publically accept their relationship, their recent public appearances are proof that they are, in fact, going really strong.
So much so, that rumours about their engagement didn’t fail to escape us, as we all waited with bated breath for the next wedding which would be #DeepVeer’s!
But, we will have to wait a little more on the wedding front, since Deepika has denied all the excited questions about her engagement with a very determined ‘no’. Recently, on a TV show, when asked if she got engaged in the Maldives where the couple spent New Year’s Eve along with their respective parents, the Padmaavat actress replied: “I was not engaged”.
Deepika’s sister, Anisha Padukone, who was also a guest with her on the show, was quick to come to her rescue, and chimed in with “She’s been engaged successively for the past four years”. This was a well-worded jab for every single person out there who’ve been waiting and hoping for the actress to tie the knot with Ranveer Singh ever since we discovered she’s been dating the actor.
But are wedding bells on the cards for Ms Padukone and Mr Singh? I suppose we’ll all have to just wait and find out.
