Just when you think Virushka’s wedding couldn’t get any better, they go ahead and surprise us by having their reception in a completely different style. Yes, after a fairytale wedding Virat and Anushka had a formal reception in Delhi last night and they looked every bit royal.
While Anushka wore a completely different ensemble than her previous looks, she kept her evening make-up and hairstyle theme as per her other functions. Her smokey eye look with nude lips and dot bindi by make-up artist Puneet B Saini was very similar to her engagement make-up. She opted for a clean bun for most of her ceremonies including yesterday’s reception, the only difference was the flowers she added to her hairdo. For her engagement she preferred roses and they were perfectly complimenting her maroon velvet saree, she added pastel-coloured hydrangeas to her wedding day bun and for her formal reception she chose a typical red banarasi Sabyasachi saree and paired her bun with gajra. And if you have any doubts about how happy and comfortable she was with her look, then you have to see her dancing the night away.
Her hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou shared in his interview with NDTV that “Anushka wanted her look to be simple, elegant and traditional.” And that’s why the prominent red sindoor was accompanied her tight bun. With all the politicians, dignitaries and family coming into the couple’s reception, Anushka’s solemn look made complete sense.
