Fashion and beauty collaborations are getting interesting by the day. Undeniably, when we think of both industries, the celebrity who tops our list is Rihanna. Lately, Rihanna has been in headlines for her exceptionally diverse beauty brand Fenty Beauty and her cool-girl Spring 2018 RTW collection for Fenty Puma by Rihanna. Although, this isn’t the first time Rihanna has been the talk of the town for her work in the beauty industry. In the past, she has also collaborated with M.A.C for multiple collections. As the creative director of Puma’s women’s brands, she has, in fact, managed to combine the fashion and beauty industry. We’ve been enjoying this love triangle between Rihanna, Puma and M.A.C. But what’s the twist-of-the-moment?
Puma is collaborating with M.A.C for their upcoming project for 2018. The teaser video released by M.A.C was simply black and white with a silhouette of a sneaker and the two brand logos, not much can be said on what we should be expecting – it could be a range of bright sneakers or a new sweatproof lipstick line. But it’s certainly something we’re excited about.
The common thread for both brands is Rihanna and nothing she does can be labelled as run of the mill. You cannot blink when Riri launches a collection, be it for Puma, M.A.C or Fenty Beauty. Since 2014, she has made Fenty Puma by Rihanna one of the most talked about fashion brands. And her collaboration with M.A.C from 2013 is still remembered, who can forget Riri Woo lipstick shade. With all of Rihanna’s work in place, it’s only fair for us to be excited about Puma X M.A.C.
