Picture rolling hills, green meadows that stretch for miles, picturesque mountains, and sprawling vineyards as far as the eyes can see. If that sounds like the perfect lifestyle to you, how about we tell you that not only does such a place exist, you will also be paid handsomely to relocate there?
Feels like a dream? Well then, it’s about to come true!
The quaint little village of Albinen is ready to pay 25,000 Swiss Francs (around Rs 16,50,000) per adult, and 10,000 Swiss francs (around Rs 6,60,000) per child, for residents that are willing to move to the location, and honestly, that seems like such a fantastic deal to me right now!
According to the town’s newsletter, the village has experienced the exodus of a large number of people in the recent years, and there are a total of 240 inhabitants that reside in the area, which is a worrying cause for the future of the village, as translated by The Local. The people who have been moving away, are mostly families, due to which even schools had to be closed down in the village.
However, like we all know, everything comes with a price, and there are, of course, certain terms and conditions you must adhere to before committing to your dream life.
- You must be below 45 years of age
- You must be willing to live in the village for a minimum of ten years
- You should either buy or build property in the location that should be of a minimum value of 200,000 francs (around Rs 1,32,00,000)
- The property should be your permanent residence and not a second or holiday home
If you’re not convinced yet, allow us to tell you what awaits you in Albinen. Situated on the sunny side of the Rhone valley, Albinen is a beautiful mountain village in the Valais, located at just 6kms away from the popular thermal springs in Leukerbad.
Life can get really busy and hectic in the city, and we all know how often we crave a vacation or two. So, if you’re looking for sunny skies and much-needed peace and quiet for a healthy and happy life, you’re definitely going to love Albinen. The initial cost of buying a house may be rather expensive, but to be able to live in serenity for the rest of your life does seem like a wonderful opportunity.
What do you guys think? Would you be willing to take up the offer?
