An authentic Punjabi feel and cocktails that matched the theme and colour of the function, Jas and Amit’s beautiful wedding amidst the sun kissed beaches of Goa was nothing short of a colourful fairytale! Shot by Candid Tales, you’ve got to check out the pictures to believe us!
Jab We Met
Sometimes love happens when you least expect it! The same happened when Jas met Amit during her medical training classes in the UK. They connected instantly and definitely knew that this was more than just friendship.“Over the years, we grew to care for each other and supported one another through our good and bad times. We always knew that this was more than friendship. With God’s grace, we began our exciting journey as a couple two years ago and it has been an incredible adventure so far,” shares the bride.
Having already organized an intimate civil ceremony in the quaint English countryside, where the couple resides, the duo followed it with a ‘Big Fat Indian Wedding’ at The Leela, Goa.
The Fun Filled Haldi
The bride and the groom designed their own customized T-shirts just to get that swagger on! We sure love the casual t-shirt and capri look. Just so comfy for the haldi!

The Many Weddings
Since both Jas and Amit belong to two different cultural backgrounds, they had a separate Anand Karaj ceremony by the day and a Hindu ceremony by the evening. While Jas donned a beautiful red lehenga for her Anand Karaj ceremony, she looked equally resplendent in a red saree for her hindu wedding, both from Mairs Boutique in Birmingham. Amit on the other hand, matched perfectly to his ladylove in a heavily embroidered golden sherwani for the hindu ceremony and a gorgeous red brocade one for the Sikh wedding.
The decor for both the ceremonies was beautifully done by Reynold Weddings, who made sure they colour coordinated every aspect of it to suit the unique tastes of the bride and groom.
Isn’t this just like a fairytale? The Anand Karaj ceremony took place in the bright morning sunshine under a vibrant, colourful marquee on the beach.
Apart from the nach gaana and the festive fervour, it was Jas’s stunning make-up that had us impressed. Explains Jas, “Choosing a make-up artist based in another country can be a daunting experience. I did extensive research online and came across Bina Punjani’s website. Her work with previous brides appealed to me and the positive reviews were encouraging. I met with Bina five months prior to my wedding and we discussed in detail my desired looks for the functions. I was delighted with the different looks they achieved for each of my functions; playful for the pre-wedding party and sophisticated for my religious wedding ceremonies. I truly felt like a princess!”
