Can you believe it? It’s 2017 already! And while we’re super excited to dive into another fab year, we can’t stop gushing over all that the last year was. And especially the weddings! We got our hands on some of the most fabulous shaadi pictures shared by our awesome photographers. And each of the brides did give us some major fashion goals. We saw brides experimenting with colours and styles, drapes and prints and so much more! Here’s a roundup of some of the prettiest bridal lehengas of 2016.

Designer Kresha Bajaj’s customised wedding lehenga had her love story embroidered all over it! And without a doubt, it was one of the most awe-inspiring creations of 2016. From the couple’s names to their first meeting and the proposal in Maldives… The off white lehenga had all the special moments weaved in it.

This summer bride gave us some major bridal attire goals last year. Dressed in a refreshing blue Anita Dongre lehenga, the bride looked nothing short of a stunner. The delicate gota-patti work paired with a beautiful beige blouse, absolutely made her stand out.

We saw just so many floral lehengas last year, but this one sure did stand out. A pretty yellow lehenga with a green dupatta and a blush pink blouse, the bride definitely did teach us how to do florals right. And it’s more than just the floral pattern. You’ll be able to spot colourful peacocks if you look closely!

If there is one lehenga we’ll be crushing on this year as well, it is this one! A Varun Bahl creation, the lehenga features a floral pattern with two beautiful dupattas. The unique colour and design are truly spectacular and make this outfit one of the most talked about from 2016.

Pastels were big last shaadi season and it was refreshing to see brides move away from red for their wedding look. One such bride wore a charming pink pastel lehenga with heavy embroidery and it truly is breathtaking. Paired with a pastel green dupatta, she gave us a look that we absolutely loved.
7. The bride who made us fall in love with yellow

So pretty! Don’t you guys just love this lehenga? Yellows too were a big hit last year for the mehendi ceremony. But something about this one just struck all the right cords. A skirt with booti work, an embroidered choli and an onion pink dupatta… So stunning!

This bride’s Tarun Tahiliani lehenga made a huge impact. The outfit featured elements of brocade, velvet and net in various different colours and intricate embroidery. Everything about the lehenga was truly majestic and extra points to the bride for carrying it off so well!

High on glamour and style, this bride left us speechless in her Manish Malhotra creation. And more than anything else, it’s the mesmerizing colour that emerged a winner. One of our favourite looks from 2016, the lehenga features bold floral embroidery and looks oh-so-magical.
10. The bride who swayed us with her double dupatta

The bride stuck to the evergreen combination of red and green and that totally did work in her favour. A gorgeous red lehenga with two dupattas – one dark green and the other a lighter shade of green was the perfect blend of traditional yet stylish. The intricate embroidery on the multiple kalis looked spectacular.
