Yeah yeah, we know Salman Khan’s Sultan was a super hit and you thought that it just couldn’t get any better… But the Dangal trailer just came out and it’s a heavy dose of awesomeness! We know that Aamir Khan never disappoints us, with every movie he just keeps getting better…and better. He’s that one actor who can play any role and be convincing – from his chocolate boy image in Andaz Apna Apna to the badass Sanjay Singhania from Ghajini, he has managed to sweep us off our feets with his AA-MAZING performances. And talking about his amazing performances, how can we forget his Bhojpuri speaking alien role from PK? He is back with a bang, and in Dangal he’s playing the role of real-life wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat.
Dangal is based on the true story of wrestlers Geeta Phogat (played by Fatima Sana Shaikh) and Babita Kumari (played by Sanya Malhotra), and how they made the whole country proud by winning gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and 2014 respectively. The Dangal trailer itself will make you want to stand up and applaud. It’s a story not just about women’s empowerment but also one about a conservative Indian man who came to believe that daughters are no less than sons. We just can’t wait to watch what more the movie has to unveil – it’s going to be released on 23rd December…and till then we’ll just impatiently wait for the big day!
