1. Coorg, Karnataka
A charming little town in South India, it is set amidst verdant valleys, orange orchards and teak wood forests – just the perfect setting for a honeymooning couple. Must do: The Abbey falls located amongst lush coffee plantations are a breathtaking sight. The Golden Temple at Bylekuppe is another must visit. The interesting architecture of this Buddhist temple is a major tourist attraction. You can even indulge in some delicious Tibetan food in the numerous Tibetan restaurants in this area. For the adventure junkies, white water rafting at Barapole river is a thrilling experience! How to reach: The nearest domestic airport is the Mangalore Airport, about 160 km away. Deluxe buses for Coorg run daily from Bengaluru, Mysore and Mangalore. You can even take the train to Mysore station which is about 95 km away from Coorg. 2. Jaisalmer, Rajasthan
For a honeymoon that’s full of royalty, nothing beats the majestic city of Jaisalmer. From history to entertainment, this gorgeous city has a lot to offer and will keep your honeymoon packed with excitement! Must do: You cannot miss the Jaisalmer Fort. The five-level structure boasts of the rich heritage of the city. The museum houses a collection of artifacts that are a must see. Jaisalmer railway station is well connected with major cities such as Jodhpur, Jaipur, Agra, New Delhi and Mumbai. It’s a 13 hours journey by road from New Delhi. 3. Gangtok, Sikkim

4. Shekhawati havelis, Rajasthan
A historical region located in the north-east part of Rajasthan, Shekhawati is famous for its rich heritage and havelis featuring beautiful fresco paintings. It’s also known as an open air art gallery! Most of the old havelis in the Shekhawati region are now converted to guest houses and luxury hotels. Must do: Soak in the Rajasthani life and culture riding on marwari horses. 5. Horsley Hills, Andhra Pradesh
Nestled in the state of Andhra Pradesh, this quaint little hill station is located 144 km from Tirupati. Horsley Hills is just the perfect romantic location for a short sweet honeymoon filled with oodles of greenery!
