While the almost-here monsoon gives us plenty of reasons to rejoice, it also brings with it the “cannot wear in so much humidity” clothing restriction. If only we could forever live inside malls and restaurants! SIGH. Move on with life as we must, AND get things done while we’re at it, wouldn’t it be ideal if we could somehow pair pretty with functional? Enter, PEOPLE. An accessible, fast-fashion women’s clothing brand, the PEOPLE Fashion Spring Summer collection 2015 is everything you’d want to flaunt during the monsoon, at irresistible prices! Since their collection is totally worth a check-out, we got 5 bloggers from our awesome Blog Network to put together some looks for just the purpose:
1. Namitha Gautham Of Take A Bow
Thanks to the super-functional lifestyle that Namitha pulls off on a daily basis, she decided to give us a preview of the edgy-yet-pretty clothing she got hold of at a PEOPLE store. The flattering blue summer dress she decided to pair with sneakers just won our hearts over, as did those OTT pink shades she decided to pair it with! A cream, floral blazer she teamed with a blue tee also hit the right notes! Check out her full post here.
2. Nilu Yuleena Thapa Of Big Hair Loud Mouth
Nilu, being as picky about fashion as she is, decided to pair a pair of wide-leg bohemian printed pants with a crisp white shirt. The combo looks kickass because the hippie-esque style of the pants is countered beautifully by the corporate, edgy crispiness of that plain white shirt. The look is further being perked-up by a comfortable pair of heels, which, though hidden under the pant’s flare, add that extra sass to Nilu’s posture. Check out her full post here.
3. Stephanie Timmins Of Feisty Fox Diaries
The beautiful Stephanie decided to put together three looks – one each for Pretty Prints, Easy-Breezy Glamour and Street Style. We adore her blue asymmetric floral-stripes crop top in this look, which she’s beautifully paired with a short floral tapestry denim skirt. Her Street Style crop-top is also a beautiful fit with the printed culottes. Check out her post here.
4. Sanjana Banaik Of The Purple Window
Mumbai blogger Sanjana stepped out of her comfort zone this time and created a look with her never-tried-before floral maxi dress – as comfortable as fashionable. She’s teamed up dress with black-brown wedges for the classy day-out look! Sanjana also tried her hand at bold stripes and pretty prints. Read her full post here.
5. Ritu Arya Of Razzle Dazzle Pickle
Known for her edgy-chic sense of style, Ritu decided to try on a few “pretty print” numbers from PEOPLE’s Spring-Summer 2015 collection, her (and our) favourite being the floral kaftan dress. The turquoise colour works beautifully with the pink-purple floral contrast, and the silhouette, needless to say, compliments just about any body type! Read her full post here.
